Suppliers active in the residential market also offer feed-in contracts for your surplus electricity production.

You can run simulations for your injected production on www.calculix.lu. However, due to the complexity of the pricing formulas, a price in euros cannot be determined within the comparison tool.

Consult this Table to discover the detailed overview of the available offers for residential customers.

Most of the offers available are linked to market indices, which fluctuate on a monthly basis depending on wholesale electricity prices and photovoltaic generation. These weighted averages follow a seasonal cycle. Prices tend to increase during winter, when renewable generation is limited and electricity demand is higher, and conversely decrease during periods of high solar production.

As Luxembourg is part of the integrated German-Luxembourg electricity market, local suppliers generally rely on the MW Solar index, which can be consulted at www.netztransparenz.de.

The methodology used to calculate this index is defined by the German Renewable Energy Sources Act (“Erneuerbare-Energien-Gesetz”, EEG). Suppliers deduct their margins from this index.
